Synthopia vs Creatify
AI actors sell software well. Your shelves deserve the real footage.
Creatify turns a product URL into short video ads fronted by AI avatars: pick a face, pick a script, out comes a UGC-style ad at a fraction of creator rates. At $39 a month for roughly twenty videos, the volume economics beat hiring humans by an order of magnitude. The question that decides this page is what you sell. For apps and digital products, an AI presenter costs you little. For food, fashion and physical goods, the presenter never touched the product and the product itself is generated or templated, and that is where the trust maths change.
Side by side
| Synthopia | Creatify | |
|---|---|---|
| What a video is made of | Your real product footage and photos, composed into a reel | An AI avatar presenting, around product imagery pulled from a URL |
| Cost per video | A hero reel ≈ 200 credits; Spark covers campaigns, not video volume | ≈5 credits per video by its free tier's maths, about $1.95 each on Starter |
| Free tier | 60 credits at signup, no card, never expire | 10 credits monthly, watermarked |
| Ad volume for paid channels | Not the job; one composed campaign per occasion | Built for it: batches of variants for TikTok and Meta ads |
| Synthetic-media labelling | Nothing synthetic to label | Realistic AI people fall under TikTok's and Meta's published labelling policies |
| The rest of the campaign | Stills, carousel and per-channel copy arrive with the reel | Video ads are the product |

The economics are genuinely disruptive
Creatify's published pricing, checked August 2026: a free tier with 10 monthly credits, Starter at $39 a month with 100 credits, Pro at $99 with 300, watermark off and custom avatars in. By the free tier's own maths a video runs about 5 credits, so Starter buys roughly twenty videos a month, around two dollars each against the hundreds a human creator charges per video. For ad-variant testing at volume, no human pipeline competes on price. That is the honest case for Creatify and it is strong.
What the avatar cannot do for a physical product
An AI presenter can hold attention and read a script. What it cannot do is have actually worn the jacket, tasted the dish, or lit the candle, and for physical products the audience increasingly checks. A Harris Poll survey with the 4As, reported by Marketing Brew, found 73 percent of consumers less likely to trust an ad they suspect was made with AI. TikTok and Meta both run published labelling policies for realistic synthetic media. None of that kills AI UGC for software. All of it taxes AI UGC for things people eat, wear and hold.
Same $39, opposite philosophies
Both entry tiers cost $39. Creatify spends it on volume: twenty synthetic videos to spray into ad tests. Synthopia spends it on composition: one occasion's full campaign (a 15-second reel from your real footage, stills, a carousel, captions per channel) built to be approved, not swiped. Volume wins ad experiments. Composition wins the feed your customers actually check before buying. Price will not decide this page for you; what you sell will.
The middle path for product brands
If UGC-style is the format your audience responds to, you do not need an invented human to get it. UGC-style reels composed from real product footage (handheld energy, quick cuts, honest captions) carry the format's warmth without the synthetic-media tax. That is what our reel engine builds from your uploads, and why we keep insisting the camera tell the truth: see /features/real-not-imaginary.
- You sell software, apps or digital products where AI presenters carry no penalty
- You need dozens of ad variants a month for paid-channel testing
- Two dollars a video is the economics your ad budget needs
- Custom avatars on Pro fit a persona-led ad strategy
- People eat, wear or hold what you sell, so the footage has to be real
- You want the whole composed campaign, not video variants alone
- Labelling policies and AI-ad skepticism are risks you would rather not carry
- UGC-style energy from real footage gets you the format without the tax
Questions
How much does Creatify cost per video?
By its own published tiers (checked August 2026), a video costs about 5 credits: the free tier's 10 monthly credits cover roughly two watermarked videos, Starter's 100 credits about twenty videos at $39, Pro's 300 about sixty at $99. Roughly two dollars a video on paid plans.
Do Creatify's AI avatars have to be disclosed?
Realistic AI-generated people fall under TikTok's published AI-labelling policy, and Meta applies AI labels to detected synthetic media. The practical risk sits with the advertiser running the content, not the tool that generated it.
Is Creatify or Arcads better for AI UGC?
They are the two big names in the category and differ mainly on pricing transparency: Creatify publishes full tiers while Arcads had no public pricing page when we checked in August 2026. We compare them directly in our Creatify vs Arcads article on the blog.
Can Synthopia make UGC-style videos?
Yes, composed from your real product footage rather than fronted by a synthetic person. You get the handheld, quick-cut format the algorithm likes, made of things that actually exist, with nothing for a labelling policy to catch.
