Synthopia vs Arcads

AI actors from a script, or your actual product on camera. Price unpublished; difference isn't.

Arcads is one of the two big names in AI-actor video ads: write a script, pick from a library of lifelike AI actors, and get UGC-style ads without creators, studios or shipping product to anyone. Performance-marketing teams love it for a reason. Two things shape this comparison. First, the same physical-product question every AI-actor tool raises. Second, a practical one: when we checked in August 2026, arcads.ai published no pricing page: the number you will pay is behind a signup, which makes budgeting a guess and comparing an act of faith.

What Arcads does well

For a performance marketer testing hooks at volume, Arcads' loop is genuinely strong: one script becomes many videos fronted by different AI actors, so you can test presenter, hook and angle combinations no human-creator budget could cover. Agencies running paid social for software and e-commerce clients use it exactly this way, and for that job the actor library is the feature, not a compromise.

The unpublished-price problem

When we checked in August 2026, arcads.ai carried no public pricing page: plans sit behind signup, and the numbers you find on third-party blogs disagree with each other, which is precisely why our grounding rules will not let us print any of them. Budget-planning against an unpublished price is a real operational cost: you cannot compare per-video economics, forecast a quarter, or know what renewal will bring. Every Synthopia price is published, in four currencies, with the credit maths on the page.

The physical-product line, one more time

The argument is the same one we make about every AI-actor tool, so we will keep it short: an invented person praising a product they never held works fine for software and struggles for food, fashion and objects, where the audience buys the thing in the frame. Platform labelling policies for realistic synthetic media add a compliance layer on top. If your product is digital, discount this section. If it is physical, it is most of the decision.

Different definitions of done

Arcads is finished when the ad video renders. Synthopia is finished when the occasion's whole campaign exists: reel, stills, carousel, captions per channel, scheduled to your connected accounts with your approval on every asset. If you have a feed engine already and need ad videos, Arcads slots in beside it. If the feed itself is what is starving, ad videos were never the missing piece.

Pick Arcads if
  • You run performance marketing for digital products at testing volume
  • Presenter-variant testing is your edge and the actor library serves it
  • An unpublished price is acceptable friction for your procurement
  • Ad videos are the only asset type you need generated
Pick Synthopia if
  • Your product is physical and the frame has to hold the real thing
  • You want published pricing you can budget and compare against
  • The whole organic campaign is the job, not ad variants
  • Labelling and AI-skepticism risk should stay off your brand

Questions

How much does Arcads cost?

We cannot tell you honestly: arcads.ai had no public pricing page when we checked in August 2026, and third-party numbers conflict, so we will not print them. Any figure you see outside your own signed-in account needs verifying there.

Arcads or Creatify?

Both make AI-actor video ads. The observable difference is transparency (Creatify publishes full tiers while Arcads did not when we checked), plus library and workflow details that move too fast to freeze here. Our blog compares them directly with everything sourceable.

Are AI-actor ads allowed on TikTok and Meta?

Allowed, with conditions: both platforms run published policies requiring labels on realistic synthetic media, and rules for ads are stricter than for organic. The compliance burden sits with the advertiser.

What if I need both a feed and ad videos?

Then split the jobs: a campaign composer for the feed your customers check, an ad-video tool for paid testing if your product suits AI presenters. The mistake is buying an ad-variant tool to fix a starving feed; the species are different.
