Synthopia vs Predis.ai

Both make social posts with AI. The difference is whether the food in the picture is yours.

Predis.ai and Synthopia both use AI to make social content, and both will save you evenings. They disagree about one thing, and for a restaurant it is the thing that matters: where the picture comes from. Predis generates a visual from a text description. Synthopia composes a campaign around photographs of your actual dishes. This page lays out that difference, plus the places Predis is genuinely the better buy.

The whole argument is the plate

Type “cosy café latte art promo” into a prompt-based generator and you get a beautiful cup that has never existed. It is not your cup. The crema is wrong, the mug is wrong, the counter behind it belongs to nobody. For most businesses that is a harmless stock photo. For a restaurant it is a promise you cannot keep, because a guest who books off that picture walks in and finds something else. Synthopia will not generate a dish. You upload your food once and every campaign after that is composed around those exact photographs.

One brief, or one post at a time

Predis works post by post. You describe a post, it makes that post, you describe the next one. Synthopia works by occasion. You say what is happening, a new pastry, a slow Tuesday, the long weekend coming up, and it returns the whole set at once: the stills, the reel, the carousel and the captions, each already shaped for the channel it belongs on. If you post two or three times a month, working post by post is fine. If you are trying to hold a feed together across five channels, composing them separately is where the evenings go.

Predis is far cheaper, and that is a real argument

Predis Core is $19 a month and Rise is $40. Synthopia starts at $299. We are not going to pretend that gap does not exist or that it does not matter, because for a single café counting every month's costs it may well decide the question. What you are paying the difference for is that nothing gets invented, that the whole kit arrives composed rather than assembled by you, and that the engine only knows one industry. If those three things are not worth a multiple to you right now, Predis is the sane choice and we would rather you got value from it than churned from us.

What Predis does that we simply do not

Predis schedules and auto-posts for you, analyses competitors, and plugs into Shopify and WooCommerce to build product content automatically. Synthopia publishes by channel with your approval on every asset, and does none of the other three. If you run a shop alongside the kitchen, or you want posting to happen without you looking at it, that is a straightforward win for them.

Pick Predis.ai if
  • Budget is the binding constraint and $19 a month is the shape of the decision
  • You are happy for the visual to be generated or stock, because your product is not what people are looking at
  • You want posting to happen automatically without approving each asset
  • You sell online through Shopify or WooCommerce and want product content generated from your catalogue
  • You want competitor tracking in the same tool
Pick Synthopia if
  • The food in the photo is the product, and it has to be your food
  • You want one brief to return a whole month across every channel, already formatted
  • You are tired of being the art director as well as the owner
  • You want your logo, palette and voice applied the same way every time without setting it up again
  • You would rather judge the output before paying, which is what the three free previews are for

Questions

Is Synthopia just a more expensive Predis?

No, and the price gap is too big for that to be a fair description either way. Predis is a general-purpose post generator that invents or sources the visual. Synthopia is a restaurant-only campaign engine that refuses to invent the visual and composes a full multi-channel kit from one brief. Different jobs.

Can Predis use my own photos?

You can bring your own media into Predis. The difference is the default and the discipline: Predis will happily generate a plate when you do not supply one, and Synthopia has a hard rule that it never generates food at all.

Do I need to cancel Predis to try Synthopia?

No. Your first three previews are built from your own photos and do not need a card, so you can put the two outputs side by side before you decide anything.

Which is better for a single café?

Honestly, it depends on whether your pictures need to be real. A café selling an experience people photograph themselves gets more from Synthopia. A café that mostly needs to fill a calendar cheaply gets more from Predis.
